Blue Angels

I'm not sure where the name comes from, but all I can picture is an angel holding its breath for a long time. The Blue Angels are in town and they are practicing today. Seeing jets fly isn't new around here. We're close to Luke AFB and we see jets all the time. We also have several pilots that attend the church. Though common, jets are still cool to watch.

Paige is on break and spend some time today with our nephew Zachary (this afternoon she's spending time with our neese Lauren baking chocolate chip cookies - I get to taste test!). I joined Paige and Zach at a nearby park for a picnic lunch. While eating we heard a loud roar and looked up to see two Blue Angel jets flying very low overhead. It was amazing! They made a hard turn and were so close you could see into the cockpit and read the writing on the side of the plane. They made several passes and have been flying around the area all afternoon getting ready for the show on Saturday and Sunday.

Goodyear Airport is very near the school where we meet for church. Parking, traffic, and people should make for an interesting weekend. Hopefully some people will end up at church and find Jesus - The ultimate flight!
